PRICING

We charge $60AUD per hour.

At IPA Studios, we do things a little differently – we charge by the hour instead of per image. Why? Because we believe in fair pricing! This way, you only pay for the time spent on editing, which means you won’t end up overpaying with a flat rate that doesn’t reflect the work required.

Every image regardless of its simplicity or complexity receives our normal level of retouching, which includes:

  • Colour correction

  • Basic skin adjustments

  • Lighting adjustments

  • Background and subject adjustments

Since we charge by the hour, it can be tricky to pinpoint the exact cost of a gallery upfront. To help, we’ve put together a handy estimate so you can get a clearer idea of what your gallery with us might look like price-wise!

The Standard vs. Complex pricing below helps you estimate where your images fit based on how much extra work is needed.

NEWBORN

STANDARD

12-15 images per hour =
$4-$6 per image

  • ​Normal retouching inclusions

  • Standard newborn skin tone adjustment as needed

  • Light to moderate correction of flakes, marks, and pimples

  • Basic background corrections and composition adjustments

  • Standard head swaps and simple digital composites

COMPLEX

6-8 images per hour =
$7.50-$10 per image

  • ​Normal retouching inclusions

  • Advanced skin tone correction (heavy redness, jaundice, etc.)

  • Heavy skin flakes, rashes, or pimples requiring extensive retouching

  • Complex head swaps and detailed digital compositions

  • Rash, eczema, or other detailed skin corrections

  • Advanced background adjustments and edits

30-40 images per hour =
$2-$1.5 per image

  • Standard skin and body retouching 

  • Background adjustments

STUDIO

20-25 images per hour =
$3-$2.5 per image

  • Background adjustments

  • We find studio sessions can take a little longer when editing, as usually more detail is captured in studio, opposed to outdoor sessions.
